Appointment of a laity minister at Mighty Fortress Church of God

On September 24, Past. Sheldon Chant has been appointed as laity minister on Mighty Fortress Church of God, located in Louisbourg, Nova Scotia. This church was the first Church of God in the Maritimes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resurrection Center Church of God Inauguration

On August 26, it was the inauguration of the new building of Resurrection Center Church of God. The Mayor of Lachine and some of his council members attended and were part of the celebration. Rev. Jacques Houle, regional overseer, procceed the celebration. Rev. Ralph Glagau, National Moderator, Rev. Daniel Hampton, from United States, and many other guests who played an important role in the foundation of this church attended the ceremony. It was a week of rejoicing and gratitude to the Lord who provided for this building.

 

April 23, 2006, Mill Cove, New Brunswick

Reverend Jacques Houle handing an exhorter’s certificate to Pastor Steven Ferris. Pastor Ferris want accompanied by his family and the congregation of Mill Cove Church. Afterwards, Rev. Philip Siggelkow baptised pastor Ferris’s son. He was assisted by Pastor Ferris.

 


National Call to Prayer

Last 7 april the National Call to Prayer took place at the O’Brien Church of God. This event was organised by Rev. Ralph Glagau, the moderator of the Church of God in Canada. Rev. Brian Warren was the guest speaker for this occasion.

Before the meeting, the ministers of the Church of God in Quebec were invited to a meal where they had a time of fellowship. Afterwards, they moved to the church where Rev. Warren brought a short meditation. The Prayer Declaration for Canada was read and recited by all those in attendance. Because the Church of God in Quebec believes in the power of prayer, this Call to Prayer was well received.


March 16 – 18, Mill Cove, New Brunswick

The Maritimes Rally and Pastor’s conference were held at Mill Cove, New Brunswick. The conference brought together a number of pastors from the Maritimes and the administrative Bishop of Quebec and the Maritimes, Rev. Jacques Houle, gave a teaching on One More Step towards Progress. On the photo at the right, you see the elder of the Pathway Church of God who, at 94 years of age, participated in the Rally.

Since Pastor Humberto Araica and his wife Pastor Marcia Araica arrived in Quebec and since his appointment as district pastor responsible for the Spanish district, 3 churches have been officially organised and 2 missions have been started, not including 2 other groups that are interested in organising as missions. In addition, he is encouraging and training 14 new pastors for the Church of God. Glory to God for the work being accomplished by this family.

 


Outremont Church of God celebrates 30th Anniversary

In the context of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Outremont Church of God, the Church organised a gala supper Saturday the 4th of March 2006. A feast was served in honour of the evening. Many people were honoured for their participation in the development and growth of the church. Pastor Georges Morisset and his wife received a gift of appreciation to underline this very special event at the hands of the Regional Bishop.

 

 


The organisation of the Restauracion y Avivamiento C.O.G.

 
The official organisation of the Restauracion y Avivamiento Church of God took place at Granby on November 5th, 2005. Pastor Humberto Araica is the senior pastor of this church.

 
The organisation of the Châteauguay Church of God

On Sunday the 24th of April 2005, the Châteauguay Christian Centre was organised by the Regional Overseer Bishop Jacques Houle accompanied by the District Pastor, Rev. David Burton. The ceremony was celebrated in the presence of 23 members of the church as well as friends and relatives who had gathered for the occasion. Mrs. Marylin McDonald is the senior of this new church.




The organisation of New Testament Church of God, in Montreal

On Sunday the 11th of September 2005, the New Testament Church of God was organised. The Regional Bishop, the Rev. Jacques Houle, accompanied by his wife Nicole celebrated this ceremony in Montreal. This church was organised with 12 registered members and the senior Pastor is pastor Daphne Brown.



Presentation of Exhorter’s certificate to Pastor Mona Stephens

Bishop Jacques Houle gives an exhorter’s certificate to Pastor Mona Stephens in a service held at Dalhousie Junction New Brunswick, on October 16, 2005. Mona is the wife of Pastor Glen Stephens, senior pastor of the Living Hope Church of God.


The organisation of a Church of God in Gatineau

On Sunday March 20th 2005, Bishop Houle, accompanied by his wife, proceeded in the organisation of Kadosh Shaddai Church of God in Gatineau. This church was organised with 21 registered members. The Senior Pastor is Jorge Camacho.
